Here is a collection of the final outcomes from my project 'Bodies are not always inherently sexual'. Throughout the project I have explored how the human body is viewed in different ways, for example how the body can be both physical and emotional. Exploring things like anatomy, gender and sexualisation of the body. One of the most successful parts of this project is where I have explored what is hidden beneath the human skin; emphasising the idea that a body doesn’t need to be sexualised to be human. I have zoomed in on over- sexualised pictures and scenes to create paintings that look like flesh with no telling of where it came from even though they still appear very human. Sexual or not, we are all just bodies.
