For my final piece I have looked into women’s body shapes and sizes from front cover of magazines. I found that Vouge was a big part of my research and inspiration because of the range of models that they now use. Anna Wintour became editor of Vogue and immediately transformed Vogue covers by emphasizing the women’s body, rather than just her face, frequently featuring Hollywood actresses as opposed to traditional fashion models, creating an international trend. Jonathan Calugi is an illustrator artist that I also looked into for body diversity because through his work he can show a different approach to how the body is seen by the eye. I used Jonathans way of sketching and Vouges use of models to put together four-line drawings, to show different silhouettes of body diversity.
