Chantelle Canniford

Course:

level 3, year 1

My journey though this project has included some challenges including lack of equipment and struggling to communicate properly with my peers.
However I have overcome these problems successfully and ended up with a good EP to show for the project .I would say the lessons I have learnt through this time have contributed heavily to my journey as an artist.
I think this experience will help me next year. I have learnt to be more independent and learn to do things my self.

Dominik Bayntun

Course:

level 3, year 1

My name is Dominik Bayntun an aspiring musician, performer and songwriter who wishes to start a career in the music industry. Right now, The main instrument I play is bass guitar which I've been playing for nearly 3 years now. I tend not play in any specific style of bass due to my liking of tons of various genres and the also the fact of how flexible the bass can be. After this lockdown, I will try to get into a band and also, see if I can get into some more gigs with the College for work experience.

I first got into music (well playing music) when I was about 8 years old and started playing the guitar. I started with the standard stuff, for example smoke on the water and basic chords but as I progressed as a beginner I began to play more heavy stuff like ACDC and eventually moving on to Metalica. When I was about 12 I got my first electric and that really got me playing more metal and rock stuff. Another reason I shifted towards the less mainstream music is because I found that metal was just more exciting for me to play because it was generally a lot faster and more complicated.
